- The First Tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) has issued a categorical ruling: Queen's University Belfast must disclose the "UCEA Code for Participating Employers" by the 24th of October 2024. This is likely to have important implications for the Higher Education sector. The ruling can be downloaded BY CLICKING HERE.
- On the 4th of July 2024, The Association of Precarious Postdoctoral Researchers Ltd (TAPPR Ltd) was formally registered at the UK Companies House. TAPPR Ltd is a private company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales with number 15820252. Our registered address is: 124-128 City Rd, London, EC1V 2NX.
- Since then, TAPPR has taken over this webpage, and has continued it growth and actions. We have issued a number of FOIA 2000 requests to Universities, which are currently in the process of receiving a response.
- New prospective affiliates are very welcome to contact us through webmaster (at) precariouspostdocs (dot) com to become part of TAPPR Ltd. It is important to note that affiliate member would not be "legal" directors or statutory members (as defined by UK law) of TAPPR Ltd.
- TAPPR Ltd has also decided that the registry of affiliates will remain private for the time being. Unfortunately, many of our members are concerned about possible repercusions with their employers if their identity were to be disclosed. It is a sad state of affairs, but a reflection of how the UK Higher Education is failing to precarious postdocs.
